Wow there are few things I love more than a long weekend with beautiful weather. We got a lot of yard cleanup done and our mulch delivered. It was nice to just be outside soaking in the fresh air. Saturday night we headed out with with my best friend and her husband to Locos which was awesome. I enjoyed two white sangria's for her since she can't partake in her current condition. They also asked me to be the little bug's god mother, which ofcourse started the water works from me. I couldn't have been more flattered and excited.
I stated Isagenix yesterday. It is a 9 day cleansing program. I needed boost for my exercise and diet. Lately I have been dog tired so I am giving it a shot. She did the program prior to her wedding in Hawaii last year and was really successful so I figured it was worth a shot. So far with one day down not so bad. Wish me luck!!

Thank god for Fridays
Hubby got his job promotion. Whoot Whoot!!! He is very excited for the opportunity. I am a little apprehensive as it means less time at home so doggie daycare is going to be needed and also his travel schedule. I am not used to him travelling for "spells" at a time so it will be an adjustment.
I got home from work and we headed out to our favorite local bar with our neighbors for some food and drink. I had a couple Landsharks, a delicious Stuffy and we all shared some garlic mussels. This place is out of the way for most but it honestly has the best seafood. We headed home rather early, because I am an old fart and have to be in bed by 10. I spent the next 7 hours wrestling with a 40lb puppy who was trying to consume my bed. At 1am he barked at kids walking up the street, which was kinda good since what the heck are kids doing walking up my dead end street at 1am? But for reals, 1am? I could have killed him. Oh yeah the older supposedly more protective lab was lounging peacefully on her dog bed on the floor, neary a woof out of her (quite the watch dog). Now awake I got up and shut the balcony doors only to come back to bed and find the puppy lying at the head of the bed (head resting on my pillow) as if to say this is my spot now bitch. Yeah my husband and I are seriously going to discuss the sleeping arrangements, no more dogs in bed. We have been "discussing" it lately but honestly pretzel sleeping is doing nothing to further my yoga practice. I woke up at 4:30 to let the little bugger out only to find my beloved feline autumn bunny darting around the kitchen, mouse in mouth. YIKES!!! Barking, screaming ensued momentarily. I managed to wrestle the dogs out without them tackling the cat and taking her prize (this was no easy feat) then I ran upstairs to wake up the "man of the house" who proceeded to tell me that he saw that mouse the other day run into our dinning room. Ummm, ya thanks for mentioning that one. He merely said I didn't feel it necessary because I knew you would react this way. Yeah much better to be surprised by a mouse at 4:30. Headed back down and decided to leave dead mouse in trash can and give treats to the cat. She is now earning her keep.
So on this Friday morn we have one very sleepy person (me) and one dead mouse. What else could the day possibly hold. I can only imagine for as I drove away for work this morning I glimpsed my husband on roller blades attempting to poop out the overly energetic pup.....you would think Rem was a sled dog not a boxer the way he was yanking him down the street.

Monday Fun
Cheers to fun Mondays....
Wake up at 4:50 am and head downstairs to let the dog out. Realize that it wasn't a dream at 3am when you heard the puppy rouse and head downstairs. Find pee on the kitchen floor, not suprising. Curse yourself for not picking up the water dish at 7pm. It was own fault, clean up and move on.
5:07am Dogs have gone out and are now eating. Brushing teeth and run downstairs to grab fresh gym clothes off the top of the washer\dryer. Head out to spinning.
5:20am Parking lot at the Y is closed for paving. Park so far away that you may as well not left own house and hoof it up to the building (did I mention it is damm chilly this time of day) grab bike and setup just barely in time for 5:30 start.
5:40am The first set of jumps in class is complete, everyone sweating. Reach down to grab water bottle and towel, ahh sweet taste of cold water. Almost fall off bike due to strong smell of Cat urine!
5:45-5:50 Spend five minutes trying to find where the smell is coming from. Possibility it is the hand towel your were just using to wipe the dripping sweat off you face, supress the urge to now vomit at the thought of cat urine greased across your face.
5:50-6:15 Locate the smell which is the right cuff\sleeve of the long sleeved t-shirt you are wearing. Notice that the smell becomes increasingly stronger the more you sweat. Spend the remainder of class being as self concious as someone who passes gas in Yoga while in downward facing dog. Almost certain that all other class members have pinpointed you as smelly girl (due to a smelly cat).
6:20 After hot footing it out of class in record time contemplate on the drive home why in fact you spent 45 minutes in the cold last night trying to retrieve cat from outside after husband accidentally left the door open. This is the rePEEment you get. Decide that the next time the dogs take chase after cat like Rusty at the racetrack looking to tackle her like a football you are going to turn a blind eye, just for 10 seconds :)

Wild N Out Friday
Given the dreary day I was entertaining myself on my commute to work this morning singing and dancing in my car. I recently received my professional wedding pictures and remembered that although the weather was much like a monsoon we had a fantastic time. I truly had the time of my life the day of my wedding as cliche as it sounds. The majority of the fun was due in large part that a large group of our guests are 30 somethings who think we can dance (we seriously believe it). We actually had a group of guys from the North Shore who were in a break dancing troop back in the late 80's early 90's. I can't even begin to describe how we came up with the montage of songs requested but I may just put it together as a compilation to sell. I will title it Terrible Music Taste to Shake a Tailfeather To, catchy no? To give you a taste here is just a sampling of the music played by our DJ:
Now that we found love - Heavy D
Livin it Up - Heavy D
Sexy Back - JT
Da Dip - Freak Nasty
Jump Around - House of Pain
Let me clear my throat - The Jungle Brothers
Get Low - Ying Yang Twins
Return of the Mack - Mark Morrison
No Diggity - Blackstreet
This is how we do it - Montell Jordan
OPP - Naughty By Nature
The Way I are - Timbaland
Poison - BBD
Semi Charmed Life - Third Eye Blind
Don't Stop Believing - Journey
Toxic - Britt Britt
So rather than post of bunch of lovely but boring to everyone but me pictures of my hubby and I posing delicately for the camera. I have decided to post a few dancefloor shots in honor this rainy wild-n-out Friday.
My best friends and I reliving our 20's
Sexy luring my man...
If he doesn't come grab the tie
Get low....
Nothing like a little Irish Jig

Why yes we did a Matador dance
Just because he looked super cute :)

This one won a free trip to the bahamas for the lowest limbo when she was 20. Still got it at 37.

This beast of a dress screamed to be twirled
That is the Hood Hand Signal for the Country Club

Things I am in to lately (and Not)
IN
I am really into Freecycle lately. I joined a few groups in my area and have managed to "gift" a grill and a bed fram to someone who really needs it. It makes me feel much better than tossing something out and is also helping to clear my clutter. I need to declutter my life. My dinning room has been the catch all for over two months and that needs to change.
I FINALLY got my wedding pictures and I love them!! I have been combing through them since Sunday whenever I have a free moment.
Photoshop (see above). I love that I can use it to recolor flowers and create cool black and white photos. I am still a novice but it is fun.
Light traffic. I almost forgot was a 40 minute commute looks like. It is nice very nice.
OUT
Quitting smoking. NOT ME, my lovely husband who recently resumed the habit of smoking small cigars (and inhaling). He has been unbearable since he started the patch a few days ago. I may be forced to set up the air mattress outside if he doesn't start leveling out his rotten attitude.
A maniac puppy. He was a lunatic last night at training so much so that the trainer rewarded all the owners who were doing well with people treats. Yeah we were left out of that one which kinda irritated me. But truth be told we haven't been working with him as much as we should be.
